Hey guys, I hope this isn’t the wrong place to post this. I’m having a very annoying issue. I’ve had my main Plex server for years and all is awesome. I am not trying to add a second server which is hosted in the cloud. I install it on the new machine, go to the login, I can login with my plexpass or skip it but then as soon as I claim the server it vanishes and I can’t ever see it again. The really frustrating part is that even when I go to the ip of the remote machine, ie connecting directly to the server, I can’t get to it. All I see is my main server the new one is nowhere to be found. I ,would understand if I couldn’t see the server on plex.tv but why can’t I get into it locally. And then once I claim it I no longer get the option to skip sign in. Super frustrating, is there seriously no way to get into a server without having to login through plexpass??
Yes I’ve tried different browsers, incognito, clearing caches. Only thing I can do is reinstall the server and leave it on its own, then it works. As soon as I claim it though, poof
A server which is hosted on a machine that has a publicly-routable IP address can only be claimed locally from this machine. i.e. in order to do it from home, you need to create a “tunnel”. https://support.plex.tv/articles/200288586-installation#toc-2

Hey thanks for the response. I forgot to mention that I have a VPN connection to that machine. Anyway, did what you pointed out and it worked, thank you very much!
