I’ve done this in the past, but I can’t see to do it now. Installed Plex Media Server on a new machine, launched it. Got the login to my account, and logged in. I see my existing servers, but no way to add the current machine as a new server.

Where is the magic button o setup a new server as my drop down in the the upper left only shows the two existing servers and no apparent was to add a third.
Did this machine have PMS installed on it before? Maybe the old server setup was not cleared out. Check out https://support.plex.tv/articles/201941078-uninstall-plex-media-server/ and follow the step for your OS to clear the registry/plsit/xml.

Forgot to get back to this, the only thing that worked was ignoring it. After a couple of days, suddenly I was warned there was an unclaimed server and things proceeded as normal.
