I am trying to add folders to a video library. I go to edit library, add folders but the ones I select dont appear. all that happens is that the videos get uploaded to the existing library. Is this what is supposed to happen? if not, what am i doing wrong>
That’s exactly what is supposed to happen.
You tell Plex where it shall look for media. The folder structure will not be copied into the library.
The only way to see it inside of Plex is to activate the ‘folder view mode’.
I think you are confused - or I am
You must create these "new " folders in your media library then add them in plex.
eg. mine are media/tv
media/movies and media/other videos.
In media/movies i have 4 folders e.g. media/movies/2016-2019.
