Adding GoT extra content

Server Version#: 1.32.3.7162

Hello.
I want to add extra content from the Game of Thrones Blu-Ray. I created an additional season “00” but it didn’t show up in the player. I created a new TV show that I named “GoT Specials” but it’s not showing up either in the player.

So, how should I proceed to have these extra shows to appear in the player?

Did you name the Season 00 shows according to the TVDB or TMDB show order?
https://thetvdb.com/series/game-of-thrones/seasons/official/0

If you use the DVD order for the show there are no specials listed on the TVDB

An example of how the shows are named might help

This document might help with the other extras that aren’t in the Season 00 folder
https://support.plex.tv/articles/local-files-for-tv-show-trailers-and-extras/

Those are not visible in all clients

I think I found a way. I renamed the files in a different TV show and it seems to work.

But, I read the article you reference and I might try to use those recommendations to move the extra files within the main TV show folder.

Thanks.

So, I have my “Game of Thrones” folder inside “TV Shows”. Directly inside “Game of Thrones”, I added a new folder named “Featurettes”. I put one of the extra file there named “An Animated History of the Seven Kingdoms.mkv”.

Unfortunately, in the Plex Mac client, nothing shows up. The Plex client in the browser also doesn’t show anything. Not showing up either in the iOS Plex client.

What am I missing?

I’m afraid the way you’re doing this isn’t supported in those clients, but I’m not sure

I don’t use extras like this, specifically for this reason so I’m not the best person to ask

Are you sure those extras aren’t listed in the specials here? There’s 247 in total

Make sure you refresh the show’s metadata after you’re adding local extras to that show.
Also… can you confirm the library is configured to use the Plex TV Series agent?

Not sure how I can refresh the show’s metadata, I quit the client and relaunched it. It still doesn’t show up anywhere. And yes, I just checked and can confirm that the library is configured to use the Plex TV Series agent.

Oh, I found the “Refresh metadata” option when I clicked on the button with 3 dots. I saw a brief refresh of every season and the cast but I still can’t see how I can access the extra content.

Scroll down below the actors

Wanted to confirm you have it like this

Which should appear on the show page under the season posters and cast ( ignore the image I just used a random small test file I had that i renamed)

If so can you get info on one of the episodes of Game of Thrones an check the GUID of the episodes in the XML https://support.plex.tv/articles/201998867-investigate-media-information-and-formats/

You can also add this as a movie

Or as a special TMDB S00E36

Yes yes, exactly like that, minus the year at the end of “Game of Thrones”.

OK, I don’t know what happen or what did it but now, I can see the Featurettes under the cast in every client I have access to.

Thanks all! I’m guessing all your comments did help.
