Adding media problems

Hi,

I’m new to Plex and i just got my server up but for some reason I can’t add any more files to any of the library folders. Does anyone now how I can add files to existing libraries. I’m am running the Plex server on a unraid server if that matters.

If the library has already been created - then adding media files to within the directory paths defined for the library should get picked up when the library is scanned

If automatic library updates is selected, Plex Media Server would watch the directory paths for the libraries for changes. This works for internal drives. On Linux / NAS systems, there is a limit on how many directories are watched using the iNotify functionality and you may need to increase this limit

The server logs should show if this is an issue on your server

After that restart the server
Add media
and ensure a scan is done - either automatic or manually
Then if there is an issue, get screenshots and collect the logs and attach

I don’t have a problem creating/editing a library or scanning. I can’t add any media to my library, I keep getting “need permission” error even though I allowed read/write for the user under unraid share settings.

get the logs as requested with debug logging enabled and covering time of errors when you add media

also get directory listing through linux command line eg ls -ail of the files
