Adding Personal Media shows - Show up as separate series

This just started in the last month. I have a bunch of travel video that I have shot that I want to put onto my Plex server. They are all named the same and use s01eXX to distinguish the different episodes. (i.e. europe2025.s01e01.1080p.day1.mp4) Recently when I add a new episode to the folder, the video shows up on the plex server as a new series and does not get added to the exisiting series. I am using the Plex Series Scanner and the Personal Media Show agent.

Any ideas??

Best start by checking your mp4 file for conflicting embedded metadata. If your library is configured to prefer local metadata, it’ll use what it finds in the file to identify what show / season / title it’ll apply.

I did check the embeded meta data and there is no differences between the files other than the file name. When I switch to Plex TV Series for the scanner and have Plex Personal Media for the agent, everything is placed together in a series but I lose all of the information / poster image that I had for the Series. I guess that is what I will need to use.
