Adding subtitle offset management and the skip intro features in the Plex app (for computer)

Hi everyone,

So I do no understand why the possibility of managing the subtitle offset (+/- 50ms) is not available in the Plex app (at least in the Plex for Mac App, as I am using a mac; I don’t know for windows). It is only available in Plex Web.

Same for the new “skip intro” (amazing feature btw) feature : only available in Plex Web…

This is a bit of a shame as the plex app is better than the web version (less lag, Sync option, more fluid etc…).

Will these features be incorporated into the Plex for mac app any time soon ?
Thanks

Make sure you have a supported version of Plex for Mac.

If necessary, you can download an update at plex.tv/download.

The Skip Intro feature does work in Plex for Windows.

@FordGuy61, thanks for your answer.
So my bad; apparently the skip intro works in PlexforMac, but the analysis of the files not always make it work since some analyzed show are showing the skip button whether other are not. That is fine as this feature is somewhat in development if I understood correctly.

But the main issue regarding the subtitle offset management is still there. Is there a specific reason why this ability to add or remove 50ms not available in the app but only in the web version ? Managing subtitle is a central feature in a media center…

Subtitle offset support varies by Plex client.

Somebody from Plex would have to provide the details on why & when. However, Plex never discloses product plans.

See article below for list of supported platforms. Note that Android Mobile currently requires a Plex Pass, even though that is not stated in the document. It is unclear if that is by design or a bug. Mentioned in other threads that it is under investigation by Plex.
