Where can I adjust the subtitles offset?

Is this not relevant any more?
I cannot see the menu to adjust the subtitles offset on Apple TV nor iOS!
I subscribed PlexPass for this!

Per the documentation you need to have a Plex Pass to have access to the Enhanced Player.

Yeah so it seems like this was a functionality of Plex pass enhanced player for the old player. New player doesn’t have it and plex support document doesn’t state that either.
Disappointing and such a waste of money… I ended up canceling plex pass.

I think you’re confused about the “video players” in the Plex app for iOS and Apple TV.

There are two and only two players:

  1. The original/native player by Apple (aka AVPlayer)
  2. The new/enhanced/experimental player by Plex

My screenshot is with the new/enhanced/experimental player, so yes, the “new player” DOES have it.

If you’re not seeing then something isn’t working as expected. We can try to help you with that if you like; if so, start by posting the version of the Plex app on your Apple TV and the PMS version you have installed and on which platform.

Indeed confusing user experience.
I have deleted the show and subtitle files for the show I originally wanted to adjust the subtitles but my plex pass subscription works until April. I’m happy to provide you my device versions.

Apple TV OS : 13.4 (17L5255a)
Apple TV model : A1842 64GB

yes, the subtitles were not embedded, it was external file but still the option was not available for me.

So I have now purchased a lifetime plex pass as I’ve been unwilling to pay for months of use that don’t count towards a lifetime subscription. I purchased it almost solely so that I can have subtitle offset and I still cannot adjust subtitle offset. It doesn’t even appear as an option.

Any recommendations?

edit: It appears I can use the subtitle adjust offset in the web player, but not in the plex app on my desktop.

This thread is for iOS and ATV devices; you will need to start a new thread in the Desktop Player sections of the forum and tag it with “player-windows” (or “player-mac” as appropriate). Different developers work on different devices so that’s why it’s helpful to post in the right section of the forum.

Solved - ( apple Tv 4th Gen. ) -first: Sign out then delete app , reinstall it again then sign in , u will find the option under the new downloaded subtitle in playback setting during playing the video ( movie )
