Adjusting volume with TV remote no longer working?

I’ve had Plex running happily on my Samsung TV (UA55H7000) for years & never encountered an issue until last week when suddenly I can no longer adjust volume or select and unselect mute via the Samsung remote. Every other function in Plex (FF, Rewind, Pause, Menus etc) all still work perfectly.

I’m not aware of having updated the App on the TV (but it tells me no updates are available so I’m guessing it is up to date)

I’ve done the following to try to fix…

Deleted & reinstalled app on the TV.
Deleted & reinstalled app on PC.
Reset TV to factory settings.
New batteries in remote & reconnected by bluetooth.
Tried to change every (I think) conceivable setting in Plex on both TV App & PC server but no luck.

The remote volume works perfectly off the TV & when my cable box is selected.

Just SUDDENLY not working with Plex only???

Am i a muppet & is missing something stupidly obvious or???

Help me please… I’m at my wits end LOL

The old Orca app hasn’t had an update in several years now. So nothing changed there recently.
Unless of course you are actually using a different Plex app on a connected player device (e.g. an “Android box”) and you have e.g. activated HDMI passthrough.

Nope. Using the app on the TV. volume adjustment worked fine until just recently. Very odd and frustrating.
