So I was playing around with the customer filters and saw on Reddit someone had created a Brat Pack collection and I thought oh what a great idea. However for some bizarre reason even though I have three movies in my library that Ally Sheedy is in when I look her up as an actor in the Advanced filter she just isn’t listed.
I can search for her in the search bar in Plex, I can browse to Breakfast Club, War Games and She’s Having A Baby and see her listed in the credits but nothing in the Advanced filter.
I just restarted my server in case it was something silly like that, but I am really perplexed now.
Matt LeBlanc is missing as well, I was creating a Smart Collection called Cast of Friends and even though he is in two films I have his name won’t appear when I look him up in a smart filter. The other five all come up.
Edit: Actually this looks like it is a issue with the Filter system even using the local address and using regular filters and looking for Matt LeBlanc or Ally Sheedy they seem to be missing but the do appear in the global search and have thumb nails in their respected movies that you can click and see what other films are on the server.
Edit: Just had a look in the TV Section and Matt LeBlanc does appear in there so I guess the source for TV and Film is different?
According to this thread actors who are not in the top three of cast list don’t get added to the filter for actors and looking at the two films for Sheedy she is listed lower down the scale, which is odd for Wargames as she is the female lead.
