Advanced filters

was messing around and created an advanced filter that auto optimizes new media when its added to my various libraries, I dont want it but i cant ■■■■■■■ delete it, HELP!

Settings - [server] - Manage - Optimized Versions
Use the red :cross_mark: which appears at the end of the line, when moving the mouse pointer over it.

that’s the problem after I created it, I did that and now when I go to advance filters it doesn’t show that I have any advanced filters active to delete but all my media still tries to pre transcode. I have conversions paused for the time being but everything is still being added to the list

Optimizations have nothing to do with Advanced Filters.

I must be confused then, still learning plex and was messing with things i dont understand. I thought it was in advanced filters. I somehow managed to create a rule that auto optimized or transcodes new downloads. how do i remove this rule, i thought it was an advanced filter

I told you in my first response.
If you have trouble finding it, make a screenshot of your settings menu and post it here.

all that does is delete the optimized version of the show that was optimized. i want to STOP plex from auto optimizing entirely. maybe i wasnt clear about my intentions to begin with

It will do both. Getting rid of the optimized versions, and of the optimization task.

If you only want to optimize some videos, but not all of them, you should either

  • trigger the Optimize action on the preplay page of each of these individual videos
  • formulate a filter rule which is not so inclusive that it matches all videos in your library
