Advice for my setup with Synology DS213J

Hi,

I’m currently running Plex on my DS213j. It is obvisouly very slow when transcoding requested with my Apple TV4.
Rather than buying a new NAS, I would like to keep it as storage for my movies and invest in a small PC like PC Nuc to run the Plex server.
I have one client on my Apple TV4, one client on my Mac and 1 client on my iPhone and iPad. I’m generally not using several devices at the same time . Worst case should be with 2 devices running two different movies but only 1 on Apple TV which would request transcoding.
Could you give me some advices on the type of PC NUC I should invest in ?
Highest definition I’m using is 1080p. No 4K currently

Thanks for your quick answer. I’ve find another solution. Using Infuse on my Apple TV and connected to my Plex server on the NAS. It works perfectly fine…Don’t need to buy a dedicated hardware to run Plex…
Surprising that Plex player is not able to do the same than Infuse on Apple TV.
I’ve streamed 4 HD videos on 4 players in parallel with no lag at all. 1 on my Apple TV through Infuse and 3 on Plex player on my Mac, iPhone and iPad…
