Thanks for your solutions. I did it the same way:
1.) removed PlexOnline* Entries in Preferences.xml
2.) restarted Plex Server
3.) used an ssh tunnel to get the servers localhost port 32400 to my local browser
4.) reauthenticated and added the servers ip address to the allowed addresses using the webinterface:
