After changing password i can't access my media by web browser

Server Version#: 4.89.1

Hi all,
I’ve changed my password as suggested by the email sent by plex but for some reason I can’t view my media by web browser. I can access it by the app no problem.

Internal by ip address works fine but not with app.plex.tv

I get error ‘No content available’ and ‘unable to connect to “Server” securely’

Am i missing something? Can someone help please?

ME TOO! I am having the same issues.

Same issue. I changed my password and server is no longer accessible. Originally when I changed it on the server I was able to get back to the server and login however many features were not functioning correctly and were indicating errors within the ui.

If you browse to http://<IP_OF_QNAP>:32400/identity does it show: claimed="0" or claimed="1" ?

If it shows the value 0 it means your server has to be reclaimed, so do look here: What if Your Plex Account Requires a Password Reset? | Plex Support

I reclaimed by server as soon as i logged back in

And when you changed your password, did you select:

Sign out connected devices after password change ?

Yes i did as the email said to do so

First, try and restart your PMS, and if that doesn’t help, look here:

I did this, multiple times. Kept timing out

Finally got through the process but devices still connected so disconnected each one manually.

Check your log for certificate errors, I’m currently getting API rate exceeded and cannot access my server locally after password reset and claiming.

I’m unable to access my server at all. It says “currently unavailable”. All I did was follow the email instructions to reset my password. Now I can’t access the server at all. Any help? Thanks.

I have exactly the same problem after following the instructions in the email. Now i can´t access the server.

Same problem here. After password reset, did the “claim server”, then rebooted physical server. Still cannot connect to library via app or devices outside of local network. Any additional suggestions?

I’ve restarted PMS but the link you sent won’t help me as i’m using qnap NAS and not windows, mac or linux

Having the same issue. I changed the password, reclaimed my server. Took a concerningly long time to reclaim it, but it eventually worked. Curiously I have no problems accessing my content via the various apps… just plex web in my browser seems to think my server is offline. I already did restart the server, but to no avail.

Im wondering if something is going on with the plex site.

Reclaiming the server indeed fixed the problem thank you. Kudos dane22. Perhaps I missed that step in the “if you need to change your account password” docs.

Check the timestamps, they implemented a fix for whatever was happening there. Site is accessible.
