After last update cant access server remotely

After the last update I have been unable to access my server remotely secure or unsecure. When it requests that insecure is avaialble you select unsecure but it just sits there and doesnt connect.

I’m having the same issue - mines keeps dropping the connections

Me Too - Same issue - I did reinstalled an older version and got it to work but only on my cell phone and local network - remote through web not working

Can access the server on a PC but not with a Samsung TV or PS4
Wasted so much time uninstalling/ reinstalling, now I have found this thread and know I am not alone :frowning:

So, I’ve never used Plex before and I’m rather computer savvy but feel like an idiot at this point. I have tried downloaded the media server program, I’ve installed it and it just doesn’t open. It runs in the background but 0% of my computer is being used for the program. I tried uninstalling and reinstalling, same issue. I click the Plex logo and nothing happens, not even when run as administrator.

To make it more annoying, I’ve been unsuccessful in getting my remote server access to function. I’ve tried enabling port forwarding when it didn’t work through the web interface at all. That didn’t help. I tried ensuring the program wasn’t being blocked by my firewall, it’s not. I’ve done everything I can imagine but I’m beyond frustrated now. Maybe I’ll be able to get the help I need here. So, does anyone have any idea what the hell is going on?

Please raise a new forum topic -There are a couple of fixes in the new Plex Media Server beta 1.14.0.5468 that help with remote access issues

Version 1.14.0.5468 which is currently beta has one fix that is for an issue in earlier versions as well. Update to it when it becomes public release - it may have a later version/build number
