After Update...Server constantly losing connection

I updated two days the Media Server two days ago and since then I have constantly been losing connection from all devices to the Media Server. I should have just left it…everything has run fine for years.

We go to watch a movie and sometimes it can’t connect or can’t connect directly, then it does and after 10-20 minutes the movie stops and gives an error. The only way to get it running again is to basically restart the player. From the Media Server computer, it shows that it is online the whole time.

I’ve found a few posts that have some settings about secure connections, etc and I have tried those. I have updated all Plex player apps and the Media Server software to the latest versions AND reinstalled them. I also went to the Server and Players and changed the setting to allow insecure connections on the same network.

After I did all of that I thought it was working. Went to watch a movie last night and it stopped 3x after watching 10-15 minutes. The main issue seems to be the App that plays on an old Amazon Fire Stick. I thought I had it fixed after a reinstall of the app on it and changing the setting, but then it froze up 2x after.

I’m at my the end of my rope on this. It’s become overly frustrating just to watch a movie. Does anyone have a very detailed set of instructions that can help me get out of this and back to just enjoying some movies?
