Agents Missing and Server settings are unavailable

Server Version#: 1.15.2.793
Player Version#: 3.83.1

I just recently upgraded my Plex to the latest version, tried both non-PlexPass 1.15.2.793 and PlexPass 1.15.3.835, and I’m getting the “Server settings and unavailable” under the Settings for majority of the server options and also getting “Loading” for the Agents and Language when trying to match movies.

I had this happen to a previous Plex server recently when I upgraded to this version. I first noticed the “Server settings are unavailable” and Google’d that and found people saying to delete certain Plug-ins, but that didn’t work, then noticed that new movies added weren’t getting their metadata, and saw the Agents/Language showing “Loading” when trying to manually match the movies, and thought deleting the Plug-ins did it, re-built my Plex server and upgraded after a few days it’s still happening.

I’m running Plex on FreeNAS-11.2-U3 in a Jail using the Plex Media Server (PlexPass) Plugin that’s available through FreeNAS.

I’m upgrading Plex using the updated PMS_Updater script.

I feel like it might be a permission issue, but since it only happened after an upgrade I’m not too sure.

Let me know what information you need and I will gladly give it.

Found the fix in the FreeNAS forums https://www.ixsystems.com/community/threads/cant-update-plex-on-freenas-11-2.72133/post-503553

Experiencing the same problem on my WD PR4100. Unfortunately, the FreeNAS solution isn’t an option unless I twiddle the settings on the NAS, which I’d rather avoid if possible.
