For some reason, after updating Plex to the latest version, more than half of the albums in my library lost their album art. I should have album art embedded in every song, so I’m a bit confused as to why this happened. I also have the “Local Album Art” option selected. Looking at the logs, I don’t see any permission issues, and I verified that all of the files are owned by “plex” user.
The albums instead show the artist picture. I don’t want to “Refresh all Metadata” for the library because I’m scared that plex will pull in artwork from the internet when I don’t want that. However, it seems like going to a specific album and clicking “Refresh Metadata” fixes the issue. Should I “Refresh all Metadata”? I also don’t want any of the custom metadata that I have regarding artists or genres to disappear.
