Player Version#: ps4 and Nvidia Sheild , both latest
In the last week, all media links and lists were still available in both players, but when you go to play, the file is shown as unavailable
Checked all permissions on the Synology NAS and PLex islisted as read and write on the main media folder
deleted existing libraries and went to re-add, however, the main folder \volume1\media… is showing as empty,
when checked via NAS or windows , media folder is full of sub folders containing files
Im out of ideas, any help apprecited
Did you just upgrade from a version of PMS earlier than 1.15.4.994 ?
If so, please refer to this announcement. It contains the instructions to adjust for the change in how PMS works on Synology
Also, Linux uses / and not \ as its pathname delimiter. Be careful of context.
If you just upgraded DSM, it’s a good idea to check the permissions. DSM is known to ‘forget’ from time to time.

I had undertaken a revist of the folder permissions, but had only changed the main folder, and checked the radio button for all sub folders,
This obviously didnt work, but i followed up and picked specifically the folders to share and added PLEX user and relevant permissions,
