No idea what the hell happened. Been using Plex for years. Decided to change my password to a password that I would actually remember and selected to have all devices logged out of. After doing that, all hell has broken loose.
Now, for some reason, I cannot login to ANY Plex services using my Chrome browser. Here is a list of the ways I cannot login:
-
After starting Plex Media Server on my pc, I right click the Plex tray icon and select “Open Plex”. At first this opens the http://127.0.0.1:32400/web/index.html page but then redirects me to https://app.plex.tv/auth/#!?clientID which is a dead page with the Plex logo in the middle.
-
If I attempt to access Plex through my NAS I open the Disk Station interface, click on the “Package Center” and then under the Plex icon click “OPEN” and this opens the http://192.168.1.27:32400/web/index.html page but then redirects me to https://app.plex.tv/auth/#!?clientID which is a dead page with the Plex logo in the middle.

If I go to https://www.plex.tv/ and click on the “Sign In” button, the page opens to …
AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAGGGGRHHHHHH
I just figured out what the problem was.
I disabled all of my pop-up and add blockers and Voila! Everything is back to normal again.
I was going to remove this post but thought I should leave it in case anyone else comes across the same DERRRRRRR moment issue
I kid you not… that was 4 hours of hair pulling DERRRRRRR.
