I just came home and turned on my Roku to find all of my shows were gone… When I rebooted the Plex Server, it started rebuilding the TV Shows Library and there is no meta data at all - all record of which shows I’ve watched, all of the subtitles/artwork etc are being re-downloaded… how does this even happen! What is going on? Is there any way to recover the lost data?

I just had the exact same thing happen. My Movies and Home Movies are fine, but I lost all metadata for TV shows and it’s currently scanning and rematching all my TV shows.
I think this has to be a bug - I left it running overnight to rebuild the library (it is quite big) and work up this morning to find it initially looked ok, but as soon as I switched to filter unwatched I got an error that it couldn’t load the library and now its back to rebuilding… I think this must be a bug…
