Did something happen in the last update? I lost a huge chunk of TV metadata, which is fine, but I can’t seem to add it again. I lost my place in shows and can’t fix the metadata. Especially the Doctor Who - but it’s a piecemeal of all the rest. My movie metadata is unchanged and I can refresh it just fine.
This occurred right after an update. I waited awhile and kept trying to manually add metadata but it won’t take for TV shows.
Not 100% sure what you mean with “I lost my place in shows”.
Is this about adding new files that are no longer matched or did shows that are already part of your library loose their existing metadata?
Shows already part of my library lost their metadata. Not all of them, but many. The ones that did, reset as unwatched. I can not add metadata to new shows or any of those shows now without it. It also reset my recently added list so it’s alphabetical straight from my library.
My movies are all just fine and everything there is working normally. I can add movies, and the metadata shows up as soon as I click on them. No movies lost metadata.
While it may be part of fixing it, I’m not mad or upset I lost the metadata or place in the series I watch so much as I just want to be able to add the metadata now. I’ll spend the time to fix it if I can figure out how. I’m just at a loss.
For a specific, all the new series Doctor Who shows up as the Classic Doctor Who and nothing I can do, fixes that match. That’s slightly odd outside of the problem i’m explaining but it also happened at the same time. Most everything else just has a black screen for the thumbnail picture/poster. Anything new just grabs a still from the video itself.
In that case it looks like a more substantial issue.
Can you verify the Plex Media Server can connect to the internet, looking for that metadata (e.g. no DNS or firewall issues)?
Have you already checked if the database got corrupted?
That does not appear to be the issue (ran through it anyway). Many TV Shows (not all) do not have the option to Fix Match or Refresh Metadata. Some shows lost my place in them and show completely unwatched and these aline with those that lost their metadata and won’t allow me to fix or refresh.
