All Windows Players crashing after install with MFPlat.dll not found error

Hi there,
I have just setup a new HTPC, installed windows, updated drivers etc, and have now been trying to get a Plex player running.
Plex for Windows, Plex Media Player and the new Plex HTPC app are all throwing up the same error after installation when I try to run them for the first time. Anyone have any thoughts on this as its a new one for me?

(My Server is on an Unraid Docker, is working fine, as is desktop players on my laptop)

If you installed a Windows “N” version, deinstall it and install regular non-N version.

Bugger - OK no worries, thanks

Or just download the Windows 10 Media Feature Pack (instructions).

You can keep your N version.

Note really wedded to the N version, but have spent a few hours installing programs, drivers etc that I’d really rather not do again. I only went with the N version because I recall reading somewhere that it’s the European version, with less bloatware etc. Didn’t realise it wasn’t feature complete.

Is is possible to upgrade to Home or Pro using the USB drive I created for the install?

Seems I just answered my own question - I can upgrade to Win 10 home. Thanks for the replies
