Yeah sure it was a bug to click it and with a text and description and also with a registry entry.
A very special clever bug.
Do them think we are all stupid ?
As previously mentioned, the ability to share LiveTV with a friend was never an intended feature. It was intended only to be shared with members of your Plex Home as stated in our support article https://support.plex.tv/articles/204232573-restricting-the-shares/.
“Remember that the ability to share access to Live TV is available only to members of your Plex Home. Requires at least Plex Media Server version 1.11.0”
So the feature of sharing itself is not a bug. The bug was which users this option should have been available for.
As an analogy, there is also the option to allow Mobile Sync, which requires a Plex Pass on the server. If this feature was accidentally exposed to allow non-Plex Pass servers, it would be a bug and we would remove it.
We are sorry that you found this feature useful and we had to take it away. If you all feel this should be available to all friends, please make a formal feature request and Plex will take that into consideration. However, at this time, this feature will not be coming back.
Wow finaly a Plex representive honered us with the visit.
I will continue to use the working version for TV and the updated for my database. And now bring back the feature or the bug or what ever you want call it. We pay you so we want the fully potential of the software and not a limited.
Thx

You have that sort of attitude and simultaneously wonder why no one from Plex would want to engage you in discussion…
They never advertised the ability to do this anywhere. They included by mistake. They fixed their mistake. They don’t want to have this function because it violates rebroadcasting laws. If it’s that important to you, switch off of premium and stop paying them.
