In past versions of Plex I was able to let remote users to watch my Live TV via Plex, but that seems to have been removed with the latest 1.12 update. Is there a plan to bring this back?
I’d love to know this as well. It was up and running perfectly and now it’s gone.
There are other threads that were discussing this unintended feature for Friends and the way that it was discovered. The feature was never intended to be released to Friends only to Home/Managed Users. Plex was informed of the loophole and have fixed it. There are no current plans that I am aware of to allow Live TV access to be made available to Friends in the future.

But it wasn’t fixed. they just closed the “loophole” from adding more users. A non-home-user was streaming live television from my machine on the latest release (1.12) of PMS for Mac
That’s because your database still has this user flagged for Live TV

I mean sure. But if you have an antenna in your own home. It’s in the public domain. I don’t see why you can’t share. What can you do? ¯_(ツ)_/¯
my main reason was to share live tv with my family without giving my login but yea. Dad likes to watch games and every online stream blacked out at the time. Though that’s improved overtime.
You can invite users with real plex.tv accounts into your Plex Home.
But then they will also appear in the ‘Fast User Switcher’ and are able to switch to your user account if they can guess our PIN.
I have the same need. I want to share with family members in the home w/o sharing the login.
