Already purchased iOS Plex application not activating

I have one-time in-app purchase for iOS Plex application but i cannot Restore the Purchase as it says that it didn’t find any purchases under my Apple ID.

I have gone through troubleshooting steps like removing all Home users ( except the admin that cannot be removed ) and removed and re-installed the application twice. I also checked that my apple id which i had done the purchase in the past was signed in when i re-downloaded the Plex application. If you would care for logs, please provide me an address in order to send them.

I recently cancelled my Plex Pass subscription and since then the problem began. Kindly proceed with re-activation one-time in-app purchase of my iOS Plex application as i have bought this application in the past. I cancelled Plex Pass, not my one-time in-app puchase.

I’ve seen a post some time ago where a user was in a similar situation also not able to restore the purchase – however it turned this was more or less a glitch in how Plex displayed the activation status. The app restrictions (1-minute playback) had however been properly removed.

Can you play your content on the iOS device or do you get the 1-minute restriction?

I wish it was a glitch but unfortunately i always ( since i cancelled my Plex Pass subscription ) get the 1-minute playback restriction and indeed it stops playing the media after one minute. I had an activation issue before 2-3 years, but then i had changed device ( new iPhone ). There was a support email address populated from within the application and you would send Plex support the issue and they would re-activate the one-time in-app purchase, but now there is no such option from withing the app. The restore purchase button just informs you that it couldn’t find any purchase under the corresponding Apple ID and that’s it.

Just to double-check… can you still see the purchase in your App Store purchase history?

I am terribly sorry. It seems that i have purchased one-time in-app application from Google Play Store for my old Android device and then purchased Plex Pass subscription which allowed me to use the application in iOS as well without limitations.

Computers are never wrong…
