One more option for AUTO-SELECT SUBTITLE MODE would be appreciated: Always use the forced subtitle track.
I have English and French movies in my library.
I can set subtitles preferred language to English and Auto-select mode to “Shown with foreign audio” in my account settings, but it will work only if I watch an English movie in English. If I change a movie’s audio stream to the French dub, it will automatically select the full English subtitle track rather the forced. Since I can speak French, I don’t want that, I still want the forced subtitle track if a character starts speaking Russian or something. If I’m watching a French movie, I have the same problem.
If I had set subtitles preferred language to French in my account settings, I would have the reverse problem, full French subtitles track when watching a movie in English.
Right now, because all my shared users are family and friends in the same part of the world as me, they all have the same problem, so as a solution I went into their account and manually selected all default forced tracks for the movies that required it; about 100 out of 800.
This new subtitle auto-select mode wouldn’t even need you to select a preferred language, it would simply always select the forced subtitle track, no matter which audio language you pick when watching.
