Amazon fire TV stays on when autoplay is turned off

I am new here so I hope I posted in the right place

Anyway, if I am watching a TV series and I turned autoplay off because I don’t want them playing while I am sleeping instead of auto playing to the next episode, it will stay on the autoplay screen all night. I have tested this, it is the only time it happens on both my fire TV and I fire TV cute.

I have cleared data cleared and have even uninstalled and reinstalled. I even uninstalled and reinstalled all my server just to be safe. This only recently started happening. Please help if you can

I don’t know if this is a Plex Pass Feature or not, but take a look here - and give yourself enough time to do things, but kill the stream while it sits there on that dam post play screen… (vile thing - truly one of the most hated things about Plex).

You may need more than 5 minutes - I don’t - and neither do my remote viewers that would leave devices on pause for years - were it not for that…lol

The FireTV App will throw an error dialog that’ll be waiting for you to answer OK to when you wake things up - but the stream will end in 5 minutes (or whatever).

… and you’re right - The FireTV App is the only one that’ll sit there - paused - for ever - on that waste of space.

thank you I appreciate you taking the time to write back you are right that is what is going on in this thing paused forever and there is no way to stop it unless you close out manually. However, you were also right when you said it might be a plex pass option and I don’t have the pass right now I plan on gettingit real soon. I guess I will have to stay with Amazon as much a possible or watch a movie. I don’t know. I don’t know what happened. It was working until recently

And just in case anybody else is reading this, they can actually fix the program. I would tell both of you this if you do not leave the autoplay screen before you put your fire TV to sleep manually whatever you were watching will stay paused in the app and on the dashboard until you go back into the application

I just found a sleep timer in playback settings when something is playing.

Thank you once again. So much for helping me out. Unfortunately, that is also plex pass , but you are still keeping the stuff so I appreciate it very much and like I said I am getting the real soon just not right this second and I want combined a lifetime membership so that’s why I don’t have it already. If you have any ideas please keep them coming. Thank you so much
