Sounds like you have your library or that individual show set to TVDB ordering instead of TMDB ordering

Set to TMDB it picks up fine afaict

Plex scanner pulls from both TVDB and TMDB. you have to tell it how your files are named.

Sometimes individual shows will be different on those sources. 99% of things are the same. but not always. for TVDB there is the addition of DVD or absolute order as well. since shows like FireFly need DVD and most anime needs Absolute.

I’ll see if a way to make it more obvious. Could probably swap those sections in article so the specific ones are first.
