Since I’ve installed the latest plex pass version I keep getting this error whenever I play music. The error occurs on the web player and iOS.
Any idea what this can be? And how to fix it?

Same here. Error seems to occur when automatically advancing to the next track after starting to play a song. Happening in the web app and also on the Fire TV app…

I was getting this exact same error for every video I tried on my Plex cloud (hosted via google drive), After I ran the “Optimize Database”, and “Clean Bundles”, it stopped occurring.
YMMV
I tried that, but still no luck.
I also sometimes get the error:
Conversion failed. The transcoder crashed or failed to start up.
What browser and version number are you running, what version of iOS ( please tell me exact numbers, don’t say “the latest” )
do you mean the web app in the browser on iOS? or our iOS app?

Also tried Firefox 54.0.1 (64-bits) but no luck so far. Tried Windows 7 too, no luck.
Just removed my whole music library and re-added it to see if that makes a difference, it doesn’t.
UPDATE: It seems all my FLAC & MP3 & AAC files are corrupt after restoring the back just before the problems started… 
BigWheel: I am seeing this problem as well on web browsers. It happens on Google Chrome Version 60.0.3112.90 (Official Build) (64-bit). I don’t use Safari.
I do not see this happen on iOS or AppleTV.
I convert to ALAC when importing a CD and then move to my Synology NAS. Curiously though, this is a recent issue. When I converted to ALAC and ran PLEX from my iMac and a WD external hard drive, I never got this message. I also do not see this with AAC. When I listen to an imported ALAC the song plays and when it gets to the end, I get the message screen that Justin posted.
Justin, has a much worse situation than I do, and would like to know if by corrupt he means it won’t play on PLEX or won’t play on any media players.

It won’t play on any media player anymore. Apparently moving my files on Google Drive did something to them. But I luckily had another backup on a different online service. So I’ve been able to retrieve about 80% of my FLAC collection

Hey I’m getting this same error but only when trying to use the HD GrandSlam Channel addon in plex. Has anyone got any ideas why?
I have the same problem with PLEX and ACESTREAM.
I have a STRM file with the URL I want to watch. I can watch it with VLC anywhere, but not with PLEX.
The error is gone when I use PLEX SERVER in UBUNTU. So it might me something with PLEX server WINDOWS and files access. However, the file has Full Control with the user and Firewall is disabled.

Same probleme here when I tried to play a channel
I really pissed off of this “shaka1001” error!!
No solution, no support from Plex
