Android 7.17.0.11041-beta

The release notes for this release state no changes for Android or Android TV… So, what’s in the release? Lol

I noticed earlier too.
Best guess it’s things being tweaked in readiness for the next major beta.
UNO and all that.

hehehe… That is exactly what I was thinking! Or, it is there, and they are going to flip a switch and then update the release notes.

I was just hoping they’d comment on it :stuck_out_tongue:

I suspect they may adopt the same method as many other clients and actually just push the UNO UI as a preview.
But who knows they may just go full on at the flip of a switch as you mention.
I keep monitoring change logs to see if there’s a reason to pull the Shield out of the drawer.:grinning:

Right!? I actively use the Shield, and am very interested to get to test UNO. I really hope they can iron out a few other issues.

I recently started traveling for work though, and won’t get to try it for a bit if it does release soon.

I also recently discovered that sync isn’t as good as it could be. I love syncing content to my devices, but it doesn’t work for anime for me. (It doesn’t sync subs, and only leaves the first audio language, which I set as Japanese)… bummer.

It also doesn’t sync sidecar lyrics or some of the features of the enhanced audio player, like the little visual representation of the audio sound level… also, bummer.

Well looks like my guess was correct.
UNO preview now on the Shield and well… it looks just like UNO on all my other devices.. So my eyes are no longer offended as they were with the old UI.

I’m hoping by the time it goes to final the playback controls will be in line with other apps.
I still have major issues living with the control overlay taking up 50% of the screen.
Hopefully mpv player becomes the default too.

So in general, as expected, UNO has totally improved everything all the way through to the point when you press play on your chosen media to view.
After that it’s STILL the worst experience in any Plex app I have ever used.
But it’s only a preview and at least there is now hope.
