Hello everyone,
currently I am experiencing a lot of issues using the Plex app with my mobile audio setup. A bit of background:
I am using Poweramp Equalizier to route all of my audio through. That is because the headphones I do use (KZ ES4) have very dominant Mids while other aspects of audio fall short. As mitigation for that I am using the fully configured EQ. Additionally I use Lesser Audio Switch because I prefer using my internal microphone when calling. So basically, whenever my Headphones are plugged in, I am listening on them with being routed through my EQ, while talking through the internal microphone.
However, whenever the Plex app is even INSTALLED, my Poweramp will not route any more audio. I have tried to close it, kill it, even to look for a running cpu service in the developer settings and disable it there. There is no way to fix this issue without uninstalling the app. Why? My assumption is that Plex keeps an audio device active as well and “fights” with poweramp for control. Why is that the case when the app is not playing anything/is closed? It makes it really hard for me to enjoy videos on my device. In addition, this is a huge red flag from a cybersecurity standpoint. There is no way to turn this off from what I have seen, I am not being told that plex does that either.
Does anyone else experience this and/or know how to fix it? Is Plex aware of this issue? What is the deal with this?
