Context: a fully downloaded playlist of <1000 songs on Pixel 8 Pro.
Begin playback, plays fewer than ten songs, and halts.
I try to navigate the app to visit the album.
I see a message that the server is unavailable.
What I expect: for downloaded media, I should never need the server to be available to navigate any aspect of the downloaded media.
Note that user data is about 103GB, while cache is 147GB. This is ridiculous. It should not be necessary to cache more data than it’s downloaded. It shouldn’t even be necessary to cache more than the next few songs. There is clearly far too much processing being done for any given episode of playback.
