This issue has been happening for several weeks. Any time I cast content to my 2nd Gen Chromecast from the Android app, the next episode does not play. This is happening both within a series and playlists. Have tried reinstalling the app and resetting Chromecast device. Any help would be appreciated.
Yeah, apparently they are aware of it (it was signaled almost one year ago) in various threads (like this one) but no fix has been rolled.
I have been driving myself crazy trying to troubleshoot this issue. I and my husband watch our playlists over Chromecast, but my phone’s Plex app will not autoplay, while his does. He has a Pixel 2 and I a Pixel 3; we’re both on the latest Android and Plex app updates. We’re both choosing the same Plex server (ours) and the same Chromecast device. (I’m actually not able to autoplay from any Plex server.) I have been trying to troubleshoot my autoplay issue since Feb/Mar '21 (this year). Before then, my Plex app would autoplay through Chromecast just fine. I would very much appreciate if anyone had ideas to help me solve this.
