[Android Auto] Music, Missing Artist and Downloaded Options

Been having this issue for a while now, was hoping an update would resolve it but since it’s been a few months, I’m posting this issue.

I am no longer able to select any music through the android auto display. The Artist and downloaded options have disappeared, to play music through plex in the car I am forced to use my phone directly to start playing music.

Plex’s own documentation https://support.plex.tv/articles/115002453214-android-auto/ shows the expected state.

the artists folder has not been available for at least 6 months

Not to Plex, but to the forum yes. I figured it had to be a isolated issue for it to last that long. Wow is that thread is embarrassing. I don’t even have the same issue some of those people do with 500 artists, I have like, 10… Guess since that thread is so huge I’ll follow along there, thanks for the link.

Believe me today it’s better to leave Plex for AA
either go to Yatse or if you can to Carplay
