Your app no longer works on this device and by that we mean:
-
You can no longer scroll using the buttons once you have searched for something. You have to put it in mouse mode.
-
The very latest version keeps looping at the sign-in screen/switch to TV mode. All of version 9 appears to be an issue.
This has not worked since the March 27 version (8.31.2.31546)(62043fa3). Can you all please fix it?
Also, for some time now (many months) in the library view the categories that you can sort by are simply not visible. They are cut off.
Your setup top runs the regular Android OS, so our app is using our default mobile layout. This relies on touch or mouse inputs, not a remote or keyboard. To use a remote, you need to switch to the TV layout. There was a bug that prevented this switch. The latest version 9.3 includes a fix and should allow you to switch to the TV layout. Please check the Google Play store for this update.
NO sir, it’s not in mobile mode. The first thing we do at setup changes it to TV layout before even linking to our Plex servers. We have used the app with these devices for years. So it’s only version 9 that does not work as indicated in the original post.
You said in 2 above that it keeps wanting to “switch to TV mode”. You only see that if you are in mobile mode.
Anyways, are you on version 9.3?
Apologies - just to clarify the very latest version was not allowing me to get back the sign-in screen. It keeps going back to sign in and then looping at the mode screen and then back to sign-in. I will try the latest one and see.
Ok so I can confirm I just downloaded the latest version 9.2.1.32664 and the issue remains the same. I do not see version 9.3 available as yet. It just loops at the sign-in page between switching to TV mode and the sign in screen.
Can’t get it past there. Went back to v. 8.31.2.31546.
Hope this can be fixed soon.
Version 9.3 should be available to you. If the Play Store app on your device isn’t showing it, it may be behind. Try looking from a browser at play.google.com. You can push the update to your device from there.
