Hello, good news. They fixed this bug in beta 9.3.0. Working again super no problem ! But no mention in release notes.

9.1.0 version don’t work on android box (android 9), few weeks ego previously using beta I think (9.1 beta), was same, downgraded to stable, was working fine, but updating to this version stable, I can see only mobile version, and every click promoting to switch to tv version, but in mobile version app often crashing. v9.0.6 was working fine. I am using android box with android 9 (phones version built for tv’s model “Ugoos X3”)

I think they changed something what makes switch to tv version, and it’s easy to fix this. But no response from developers. Not everyone using Shields. For now workaround use older version. Tryied new 9.2 beta same ■■■■. Buying Plex pass no updates for us
Every time I selected something in the menu it states I am in mobile and so select TV, I had to select mobile and the look is now crazy but its not asking to switch
Found images right hart to the left and menu hiding on the TV.
I then wanted to change it to TV and found another problem, when I try to go into Settings on plex it closes Plex, I don’t see a crash as its not reporting a crash.
I found out that the newer version has some performance issues when fast forwarding/rewinding. In older version (8.26.0.28833) ff and rw is very fast whereas in newer version is slower and probe to crashing. Also some files that have issues playing in newer version plays just fine in the older version. This is really something that the Plex developers should take a look at! Plex client on Android TV is becoming too buggy and unstable with every new version. I pledge for good quality control with new updates. We do not need new features but a stable version that works! Thank you!
Well now the App is worse, Plex needs to look into these problems ASAP
My X96Q now has 9.2.0.32520 and its just going down hill, as now going into TV session episodes the app crashes.
Also its still now fixed for the settings as the same it crashes too.
Same issue here. I am using a buzztv box. Had to revert to the old app version. However every week the box updates and reverts the the new version. And the oldest one becomes unavailable. Would love for plex support to fix this. No way to directly contact them either. Have sent multiple bug reports too
I posted about this on Reddit weeks ago and got completely ignored there too. Plex developers are absolutely terrible now and care only to monetize without fixing problems.
How they could let the client become so broken in Android is beyond comprehension.
Only solution I’ve found is to go into Formuler Market and download their version from 2021 there. But episodes will not automatically playback after each episode.
