Android Download has very large pause between each download

Hi! I think this is a known issue but can’t seem to find any updates on it. I have an Android Tablet (S8 Ultra) with a 1 TB SD Card. The actual download of the content is really fast but as I download more episodes the pause between each download of the episode grows. What starts as a small a pause of a 1 second grows to at this point over a minute. This is increasing the download time significantly. My understanding from a closed thread was Plex is reviewing all the download information between each download so as you have more downloads the time it takes Plex to do this grows.

Any update on a fix on this? What should take 3 or 4 minutes to download takes 20 mins +
