Android downloads with big delays between multiple files

Server Version#: 1.27.2.5929
Player Version#: latest non-beta Android from google play store, 9.5. something

Queued downloading 10+ episodes (to sd card if that matters, haven’t tested internal storage). Original quality etc to avoid any kind of transcoding.
1-3 episodes gets downloaded, then nothing happens for around 1-2 minutes or so. Then another burst. Force closing app and reopening it forces download to resume (yet another burst and then another delay).

Added logs from android that shows delay between actions. Tested iOS client - downloaded everything in one go.

Looking at logs right now it seems that delay between downloads can even get to ~6 minutes. Often (but not always), first message that “wakes up” the download in logs is:
07-30 01:58:14.610 i: [DownloadsStorageManager] Done updating used space. Free: 597.09 GB | Used: 330.80 GB | Available: 595.88 GB | Limit: 926.68 GB | Total: 927.69 GB

So maybe it is recalculating whole used space from time to time? And that’s the slow part here due to big SD card? If so, there should be a way to turn it off or make it a bit smarter and not check so often… I got download storage limit set to max, so it shouldn’t even care about remaining free space…

I have the same issue and have been dealing with it for a long time. It also seems the more space is filled, the longer the delays.
