What tuner are you using? Or, more appropriately, how many tuners does it have? Unless your device has more than one, you can’t record and watch live TV at the same time.
OK I see. Just cheap USB OTA tuner. Makes sense. Gonna have to look for solution with at least 2 built in tuners! Any you guys recommend or are currently using for your OTA Plex Live TV.

Depends upon the country in which you live. I have a HDHomeRun Dual that I use for my OTA broadcasts, never had any issues with it.
I’m in USA.
If you have a fast CPU the hd connect works well. I’m upgrading to the extend for hardware based transcode because my nas can’t handle the hd stream from ota signals. It’s eta is tommorow so I should know more shortly.
I can second the Extend. It’s a little more pricey, but can save you CPU resources on streams. I like the network tuners because it lets me locate them by a window instead of in my server closet for better reception.
Note that you should be able to add multiple tuners to the same Plex server, so you could in theory keep your existing one and the Extend to have three tuners.
Finally, some people have found that you can watch live the content being recorded even with a single tuner.
The connect has 2 tuners. It’s my understanding the extend does as well which would give me 4. Recording with the connect has been good on SD channels. Live TV not so much. When the extend arrives tommorow I’m hopefully I can do the live TV as well as HD with the hardware based transcode feature.

I have a dedicated HTPC box and prefer not to have yet another “little box” taking up space and a power outlet; so I went with the WinTV-quadHD PCIe card, which has 4 tuners. You can find it for as low as $93 on eBay. I’m in the US and use it for OTA recordings. So far it’s working well with Plex DVR. Granted, the HDHR devices (Connect, Extend) will let you view live TV on a mobile device right now, while a USB tuner or internal card won’t. But that’s where I’m banking on Plex adding further client support for live TV. I also have a beefy enough CPU to handle transcoding, and a main playback device (Nexus Player) that will direct play MPEG2/AC-3 streams (which are what most US OTA broadcasts are).
