I rarely ever watch subtitles while viewing on my phone, but I did for the first time in a LONG time yesterday and found that no matter what subtitle I chose - my external srt file or any of the available subtitles from the subtitle search inside Plex - none of them actually displayed anything.
When playing from my Fire Stick in the living room, they displayed fine. Tested out on a friends Fire Stick at their house later that night (remote streaming), worked fine. Its just the the mobile Android app that isn’t displaying them.
I thought I tried all the various combinations of settings on the app, but maybe I’m missing something. Anyone else having issues?
