Subtitle not working, menu need fixing

I got the latest update for the android app.
Using on a samsung s22.
If the subtitles are in .ass the subtitles don’t show.
Direct play don’t show subtitles in .ass ,same if I force transcode.
I the mobile app settings I tryed all the options, only one that works is burn subtitles always, its not optimal cuse the device was able to play all of the files with direct play with no issues.
If I download to watch offline I cant see the subtitles cuse it is not trascoding and burning the subs.
I the older Version of the app subtitles worked fine.

When chosing from all the library menu the last library dont show cuse you have the reorder button on top of it.. It might be an easy fix just add another row at the end so it gets visible.

I hope the subs get fixed soon.

yeah lots of problems I’m seeing regarding subs in the new app. I’ve tried to help people at first but there’s too many problems and nothing’s working so we should just wait and see for Plex to fix it.

This is an external sub, yeah?

No its a embeded subtitles. Did not tried with ass as external. Srt is working fine

Just gonna refer you to my post about the same issue to which a plex employee replied. Basically, not gonna be fixed. The post also has instruction on how to downgrade.

Bump. I watch everything with subs. The app is unuseable now.

I downgraded to an older working app version… , It’s disappointing that this was rolled out before fully testing key features.

I hope future updates fix the issues. I’ll keep checking the forum for new info before upgrading.
