I am able to connect to my Plex server via Samsung TV apps and Rokus; however, on an Android tablet and phone, the server shows offline.
Confirmed that all are on the same network / 192.168.1.X subnet. Uninstalled the Android app. Cleared data / cache, but server is still unreachable. The devices do show up as “Authorized Devices” in the server with the correct timestamp of when I tried to access the server via the Android app. What’s causing this issue?
Inbound firewall rule looks like this:
Protocol type: TCP
Local Port: All Ports
Remote Port: All Ports
I forgot the network and reconfigured a static IP address on one of the devices and it has temporarily fixed it; however, this has been a recurring issue the past few weeks. Any reason this would keep happening?
They’re not gonna do sh*t dude. Quite a number of us been complaining about this issue since forever. Goes to show you how much a PLEX pass is really worth.
