Android plex app shows server OFFLINE when server running

Server Version#: Version 1.26.2.5797
Player Version#: 9.3.0.32977 on Oneplus 8 Pro phone with Android 12

  1. just installed plex server on my windows 10 laptop.
  2. just installed on my oneplus 8 pro android phone latest plex app.
  3. connected usb disk with my media to my laptop (drive H:)
  4. laptop > can open ok and watch movies http://127.0.0.1:32400/web/index.html

problem:
5. on my phone > plex app > server appears OFFLINE.

–my environment:
msi laptop > wired ethernet to powerline box (which also have wifi):
192.168.1.101

mobile oneplus 8 pro connected to same powerline box but wifi 2.4GHz channel
192.168.1.94

So both IPs on same sub-net 192.168.1

I also have the free ZoneAlarm firewall and antivirus on laptop:

  • How can I fix the problem of Plex android app showing server OFFLINE ?
  • shall i need to add some config on zonealarm ?
  • any suggestion please ?

Thanks,
Emanuel

Have desktop PC with Windows and Plex server on it, server is up and fine. I know last for sure because i have Smart TV with Plex client which is good(without considering the problems that do not touch the subject)
I recently paid Plex Pass and decided to give mobile app a try. And, like TC app, it shows my server as offline

PS: sry for bad english

I keep complaining about this also.
A couple of times clearing the cache on the android app cleared up the problem for a day or two. But it always comes back.
I keep getting told my mobile device is not on my home network, which makes no sense to me. And that I need to open a port on my router so my mobile device can “see” my laptop.

Make sure the av/firewall is not blocking port 32400/tcp on the server.

I finally broke down and set up port forwarding for 32400 on my router. But still not working.
But now you saying I need to look at Windows firewall / anti virus product? I am not running anything which doesn’t already come with Windows 10. What do I need to look for to allow that port on my pc?

I was responding to the thread owner who is running ZoneAlarm.

Oops, sorry.
