On my PC whether using the web interface or HTPC, I have never had to restart a video, but on my android mobile its not unusual when starting to watch apps for the first video to stop quickly or not start with an error.
Folks have said in the past this is just my NFS disks spinning up, but like I said, the web interface and HTPC has never ever had to restart a video. If this is something related to my network disk hosting the files, why wouldn’t android catch this and retry?
My android is a samsung s20, and I understand developers probably aren’t releasing too many bug fixes, but I could really use a “retry” bugfix on this one. Why should the mobile experience be any different?
That’s not what I said.
You seem to have opted not to upgrade the Plex app on your Android to the current release. The current releases are currently receiving updates almost every week (current public release is version 2025.16.0 which was released end of last week).
If you opt to stick with the legacy version (10.26.0.xxx)… that will no longer receive any separate updates (2025.16.0 is the update).
oh, i misunderstood, thought you were saying no more updates to the old phone
i usually update all my apps once a month
just searched the internet for plex and told it to download that app, instead of just “plex” it was called “plex: stream movies and tv” … it has installed something new
