I have a free Plex account without plex pass.
The server is running on my PC with my email.
I access using android client on my mobile using my email.
I 've created free plex account with her email.
On the server, i invited her as a friend and shared the libraries with her.
On her laptop, she can access everything on the server using her account.
When using her android mobile using her plex account and she tries to play anything, she receives the attached message “streaming media to this device from a plex media server requires a one-time in-app purchase” !!!
Plex mobile apps (phones & tablets) are limited to one minute of playback from a Plex server unless a) you have a Plex Pass; b) you’re invited into the Plex Home of a Plex Pass holder; or c) you pay a one-time activation fee.
The activation fee, $4.99 USD, is tied to the app store account of the purchaser. It may not be transferred to another account or to another app store. For example, if you’ve an iPhone and and iPad using the same Apple account, that is one activation fee. If you then acquire an Android mobile device, that is a second activation fee, as the app is from a different app store.
