Plex for Android asking for Plex Pass only on one device

When using a friend shared server, Plex for Android recently started to ask me for a Plex Pass to watch more than 1 minute of streaming. This happens only on one of my devices (Pixel 3).

This problem does not occur on any of my other devices (Pixel 4a, Samsung Galaxy Tab 6, 2 x Google Chromecast with Android TV).

I am connected to the same Plex account on all devices.

Any recent changes that might have triggered this problem?

You don’t appear to have a Plex pass on your Plex account.

Which means that you most likely used the mobile Plex app by purchasing the app “unlock” in the app store with a one-time payment.

This purchase is bound to the app store account, not to the Plex account.
Which means it will only unlock the app on devices which use the same app store with the same app store account.

You are right, I don’t have a Plex pass on my Plex account. I purchased the app “unlock” in the app store (one-time payment).

It used to work on the Pixel 3 with my daughter “app store account”, which shares the family purchases with me. It seems that Plex has changed the way it checks for this “app store account”, since my daughter can’t use it anymore. The problem is that she can’t make the “one-time payment”, as the app is available to her.

Any idea how to fix this?
