@MikeTeavee sorry that you’re continuing to have issues. We’ve been kicking this around teammates and are not able to easily reproduce this issue. We’re probably missing some important information somewhere.
How large are these collections? Do you have a similarly named collection in a Music library?
Could you enable Debug logging on your PMS, reproduce the issue, download your client logs (Settings > About > Download logs), and download your PMS logs. Share both here or via PM to me. It may also be helpful to share a copy of your Database. You can download a copy of your Database from Settings > Troubleshooting > Download Database. Could you please share that with me as well?
Logs are attached and issue recreated. Confirmed that there is no issue with Plex before new experience (10.26.0.2578). My workflow is such.
Download latest Plex version from Play store
Open 3x items successfully that are not in collection from ‘movies’ library
Attempt to open 2x items unsuccessfully that are in a IMDB Top250 collection. Both cases error message ‘Uh oh…’. after black screen. These items are ‘Memento’ and ‘Metropolis’.
Open item not in collection successfully again
Delete latest Plex. Install 10.26.0.2578 again
Now successfully open same item that is in IMDB Top250 collection (Memento). No issue.
Summary. ‘Memento’ is in Top250 collection. Doesn’t open in latest Android Plex app, but successfully opens in old Plex app.
My database is too large to share here. Will DM you a drive link.
I run ChuckPA’s DBRepair every few weeks successfully. Optimize DB is also running every few days.
Please let me know if I need to recapture logs in case I was unsuccessful.
EDIT: DNS Rebind protection is enabled at the router level
I was able to load up your DB and access the title mentioned along with any items assigned to any collections. After reviewing your logs, they are full of transcoder errors. What is your host environment? Is this docker setup through Unraid or something else?
I’m not even able to load the title on the latest Android Plex app, so not sure what the transcoder has to do here. They also play fine on the old app and every platform there is (my library is shared with 20 ppl).
There is a difference in how the legacy app and the newer app fetch collections data. Which is likely part of why your seeing a difference between the two. The transcoder errors may or may not be related.
Regardless, you should try to resolve the spamming of error events in your logs. Are you using the Plex official container?
Hi, same problem for me. I’m using PMS on Windows 11, version 1.43.0.10162. Version on my phone is 2025.27.0. Any TV show or Film that’s in a collection won’t load. If it’s not in a collection, or just a season/episode, it loads fine. I’ve sent logs, hopefully this helps!
I’m not comfortable sharing whole or unredacted logs for various security and privacy reasons. The same goes for my database. I could provide partial logs with redactions via a temporary storage host if it would help, but it would just be the logs of the search up to the point of the error and log compiling.
Upon selecting the title within a collection, PMS logs only show DEBUG lines reliably, not WARN or INFO, though sometimes some appear, likely unrelated, but I won’t rule it out. Plex for Android logs show the following:
3x [Metrics] Failed to flush events: TypeError: Network request failed:
[LumaScreen] Refreshing all data for screen
[PersonalMediaHomeData] Refreshing data
I’ve cut the Plex for Android logs where it starts showing personally identifiable information. Since the error seems to occur (or at least present) on the Android side, I hope that helps narrow it down.
I still have this exact issue, anyone with an Android (tablet or phone), that wants to watch any of my movies that are in a collection, needs to use an old version of the app. New updates do not solve the issue.
I can confirm this is still an issue in the newest update. However, I managed to get two movies in collections to load their pages after a bit of loading, one from the home’s recently added movies carousel, and one from the movie library’s Library page. After that, it stopped. Same movie’s pages will load successfully multiple times. Unsure if this has anything to do with a recent update or if it’s just a fluke.
This bug exists since the new version was released… So it is now over half of a year since it was reported… This bug causes that you can’t use the app because the movie isn’t loading… So this is a major bug!
May I ask you again… when will you get this working again!?!
