Android Tv cannot play 1080p content

Server Version#: I don’t know where to find it
Player Version#: 8.8.2.21525

Hi, i just bought a Sharp Aquos Android TV, i installed plex on it and logged in my account but when i try to play a 1080p content it says “impossible to play the content” (prob. not litteraly the same in english, i translated roughly from italian) .
Is there anything i should enable?
Thanks a lot.

Recreate the problem and then grab the logs. Android, Android TV, Fire TV Logs | Plex Support

Hi, here the logs: https://pastebin.com/HJHqxCME

Says the link has expired. Can you just attach the log to your comment as a txt file?

Here it is. logs.txt (63.8 KB)

Looks like your server has transcoding disabled. You are playing the file at 2 Mbps, but the original is 4 Mbps so it needs to transcode. Since that setting has been disabled, it can’t do the transcoding so playback fails. Either turn that setting back on or set your quality setting up to original so it won’t need to transcode due to the bitrate.

Hi, the server i play things from is not mine so i can’t turn that flag on. “Set the quality to original” is something i can do on my device or is it another server side setting?

Yes, you can set the quality on your end. So to the settings menu at the bottom of the sidebar. Then find the option for “Remote quality”.

Thanks a lot, it works now!
Thanks again

Should i close this or edit title to “Solved” or do anything else?
