Android TV Now Playing has no album art

I am currently running Plex on my TV via the built-in Android TV (TCL Q750G). While album art shows up fine within Plex itself, I cannot seem to get album art to display on the built-in “Now Playing” and ambient screensaver. It will only show a white box where the album art should be. It displays the track and artist name correctly. I have checked the server logs and have not seen errors popping up, as well.

This feels like it’s most likely a dumb permissions issue or a setting that I’m not aware of, but hours of searching this forum and Reddit have turned up nothing. Does anyone have any ideas? My only other thought was that it could be a connection issue due to being behind a CGNAT firewall thanks to T-Mobile Home Internet, but I am running my TV on the local network so I would hope all connections would remain local.
